Varied sound mixtures and unusual combinations of instruments are a specialty of Bert Matschats. On the album, he played all instruments with the exception of bass, drums and strings, which makes a rounded picture in spite of its great variety, and reveals his enormous talent. These musical landscapes, played by harmonica, piano, guitar, keyboards, violin and cello, are dreamlike and tender, the work of a sound magician. Colorful compositions which move between the genres of pop, jazz, and classical music set the mood for a romantic affair of the heart. |
